Director of Louisiana Landmarks Society
The Director has responsibility for daily office operations and provides staff support for the board and of the committees and programs of the board. In addition, the Director is responsible to supervise staff that manages the operation of a historic house used as the organizational headquarters, as a house museum, for event rentals and as a site for preservation education.
The position requires business management experience, with non-profit experience preferred. Applicants should also have experience writing grant applications, doing fundraising, organizing events and programs, and must have solid written and verbal communications skills. The Director must have knowledge of and experience with computer applications for bookkeeping, data entry, record keeping, graphic design, membership management and communications, including Quick Books, Past Perfect, Dropbox, In Design and Constant Contact, and have proficiency in social media.
